Hey there, I'm glad you're here. My name is Dr. Princess King. I have over 14 years of experience in college access & success, college advising, and college transitions. I've worked with both high school and college students to and through college. I'm here to help you navigate your next steps while empowering you with the necessary tools and resources to be successful. I hope we can work together soon.
Dr. Princess King is from Fayetteville, North Carolina. She earned her BA in Psychology from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she also served as the Assistant Director of Minority Student Support Services facilitating the S.A.F.E. Program; a peer mentoring program for first year students. She then earned her M.Ed in Counseling & Personnel Services from The University of Maryland College Park where she studied Urban School Counseling with a focus on postsecondary advising. She then had the honor of serving seven years at Elon University with Elon Academy- a college access and success program supporting first generation college students and families to and through college. Additionally, she's held positions in Academic Affairs as an Academic Dean - helping college students thrive through academic challenges. Lastly, she Directed Dual Enrollment programming at Howard Community College, managing the college life-cycle of over 3000 dually enrolled students in partnership between the community college and local education agency. She earned her terminal degree from the University of North Carolina Greensboro in Education Leadership in 2021.
