Edward Jones is a justice-impacted leader, educator, and advocate who has transformed lived experience into a commitment to creating pathways for others. As Regional Director of ELEVATED at Learning Loft Consulting & Advising, he helps individuals navigate education, mentorship, career development, and the barriers that often stand between potential and opportunity. His own journey from incarceration to college graduate and community leader shapes a relational approach rooted in understanding, accountability, and the belief that people should never be permanently defined by their circumstances. Edward’s work centers on using education as a pathway to economic mobility while connecting people with the tools, relationships, and opportunities needed to move forward. His philosophy is simple: learn, then apply, and use what you learn to create a pathway for someone coming behind you.

About

Edward Jones is a justice-impacted leader, educator, advocate, and entrepreneur who has transformed lived experience into a platform for creating opportunity for others. His journey from incarceration to higher education and professional leadership shapes his approach to the work. This method did not come from theory alone, but from an understanding of what it takes to rebuild, navigate complex systems, and create a path forward when one is not clearly laid out. Education became a defining part of that transformation while he was incarcerated, where he experienced firsthand the power of learning, community, and individuals pouring into one another under some of the most difficult circumstances. That experience continues to ground his belief that education, paired with opportunity and the willingness to see things through, can become a powerful vehicle for economic mobility and lasting change.

After returning home, Edward continued his education, graduating from Nashville State Community College and pursuing a degree in Leadership at Austin Peay State University. Professionally, he began with the Tennessee Higher Education Initiative as an intern and advanced into a full-time role supporting alumni as they transitioned from incarceration into their communities. Today, as Regional Director of ELEVATED at Learning Loft Consulting & Advising, Edward works to build pathways connecting justice-impacted and system-impacted individuals to education, mentorship, career development, and greater economic opportunity. His approach is intentionally relational—meeting people where they are while challenging them to recognize their own capacity, take ownership of their decisions, and see their goals through.

Edward is also the co-founder of Double R Strategies & Consulting, where he works to elevate lived experience within conversations surrounding reentry, workforce development, leadership, and community engagement. His work extends into curriculum development, including the creation of a parenting curriculum designed with justice-impacted individuals in mind and the co-creation of the Master Speaker curriculum centered on communication and self-advocacy. Across each of these spaces, Edward seeks to move beyond simply providing services. His focus is helping people develop the knowledge, relationships, confidence, and autonomy necessary to advocate for themselves and build sustainable lives.

At the center of Edward’s leadership is community. He does not view his journey as an individual success story, but as evidence of what becomes possible when people are given access to education, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to demonstrate who they have become. His work is for those rebuilding their lives, for the families growing alongside them, and for the men and women still on the inside preparing for their opportunity to show the world what they are capable of. Whether through education, mentorship, entrepreneurship, or advocacy, Edward’s mission remains consistent: create pathways toward economic mobility, strengthen individual ownership, and use what he has learned to make the road more navigable for those coming behind him. Learn, then apply.
