Business Communications Graduate (Admissions/Studies) Pre-Professional

Hi, I'm Audrey Woods. I've spent over 15 years working in higher ed at an Ivy League school, a private R1 university, and a community college, so I know how different kinds of schools work and how to find the right one for you. I hold a Master's in Higher Education Administration and I'm an active member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling. I specialize in law school admissions and grad admissions more broadly, as well as undergraduate business, communications, and pre-law students. I believe fit matters more than prestige, and I can't wait to help you find where you'll truly thrive.

About

I have spent over 15 years working in higher education, with experience at an Ivy League school, a private R1 university, and a community college. I've seen how different kinds of schools actually work from the inside, and I use that knowledge to help students find where they truly fit best, not just where they think they're supposed to go.

My focus is on students interested in business and communications at the undergraduate level, and I have a real love for law school admissions and pre law students. I'm also well versed in grad admissions more broadly. If you're not sure grad school is even necessary, I can help you figure that out first, and if it is, I'll help you find programs that actually open doors for you.

I work best with clients who are excited about their futures but open minded about the path to get there. Having worked at a prestigious school doesn't mean I think they are the right choice for everyone. I believe fit matters more than prestige. I don't want the dream school to get in the way of you ending up somewhere you'll thrive.

When you work with me you can expect a lot more than admissions advice. I help with school list building, deadlines, essays, and once you're enrolled, ongoing academic and professional support too. I teach a First Year Experience course on campus, so I bring real tools for time management, goal setting, and accountability right into our sessions.

I have a good sense of humor and I'm upbeat, positive, and realistic. This process shouldn't be stressful. It should be exciting, and I'll be your biggest cheerleader every step of the way. I live in the Midwest now, but I spent most of my career living and working in the Northeast, so I'm comfortable helping students navigate either region.

If this sounds like the kind of support you or your student is looking for, I'd love to chat and see if we're a good fit.
