Please read these Terms carefully before using our platform. By accessing or using Learning Loft, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Learning Loft Consulting and Advising, LLC ("Learning Loft," "we," "us," or "our") operates a nationwide marketplace platform connecting students, adult learners, and career explorers ("Clients") with independent higher education and career professionals ("Consultants"). Learning Loft also operates the ELEVATED division, serving justice-impacted individuals.
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of learningloftadvising.com and any services offered through it (collectively, the "Platform").
By creating an account, booking a session, applying as a Consultant, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or enter into a paid engagement through the Platform. Clients under 18 may use certain services with the involvement or consent of a parent or guardian, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
Learning Loft operates as a marketplace connecting Clients with independent Consultants. Consultants are independent contractors, not employees of Learning Loft. Learning Loft does not directly provide advising, mentorship, or consulting services — these are provided by individual Consultants operating on the Platform.
All payments for services are processed centrally through Learning Loft. Consultants are compensated according to the revenue-sharing structure applicable to their tier at the time of engagement.
Clients may browse Consultant profiles and book sessions directly through the Platform. All fees are due at the time of booking unless otherwise specified. Payments are processed through a secure third-party payment processor.
Pricing for individual sessions and ongoing support plans varies by Consultant and service type, as reflected on each Consultant's profile or the Pricing page.
Cancellation and rescheduling requests should be made directly with your Consultant as far in advance as possible. Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances of the cancellation and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Contact advising@learningloftadvising.com with any billing concerns.
Consultants who join the Platform agree to:
Consultants found in violation of these standards may be removed from the Platform at Learning Loft's discretion.
Clients agree to provide accurate information when booking sessions, to treat Consultants with respect, and to use the Platform only for its intended purpose. Learning Loft reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for Clients who violate these Terms or engage in abusive or fraudulent conduct.
Learning Loft and its Consultants provide guidance, advising, and mentorship services. We do not guarantee specific outcomes, including but not limited to admission to any institution, receipt of financial aid, employment offers, or academic performance. Advice provided through the Platform should not be treated as a substitute for professional legal, financial, or medical guidance.
Consultants are subject to background screening consistent with Learning Loft's published Background Check Policy for their applicable division (General or ELEVATED). Screening is conducted through a third-party provider on a candidate-initiated, candidate-pays basis.
All content on the Platform, including the Learning Loft name, logo, branding, and website content, is the property of Learning Loft Consulting and Advising, LLC and may not be used or reproduced without permission. Content created by Consultants for use on their own profiles remains their intellectual property, subject to a license granted to Learning Loft to display it on the Platform.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Learning Loft is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or engagement with any Consultant. Learning Loft's total liability for any claim arising from use of the Platform is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific service in question.
Learning Loft reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account, Client or Consultant, at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct that harms other users or the integrity of the Platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable state or federal law given Learning Loft's nationwide operations.
